How To Keep Your Blog Visitors Coming Back For More | Andrea ...

blog visitors
The mark of a profitable blog is one that keeps blog visitors engaged and coming back for more. Your ability to get repeat blog visitors increases your income and in today?s blog post I?ll show you how to create a blog that keeps visitors wanting more.

Keep ?em Coming Back

You should think of your blog as a valuable piece of real estate. The more traffic your site sees, the more you build your email list, the more income you can demand.

The key behind getting visitors to come back to your blog is to have them see the value in what you have to offer them.
If you offer cookie cutter content that they can find anywhere on the Internet, why would they need to come back to your site. They can go anywhere? If you don?t offer instructional information that get people results, why would they come back?

When you create your blog it is important to think about the value you add to your industry and why people not only want, but need to stay current with your content. When you give people what they need to succeed, it always pays off. They?ll become a part of your online community, they?ll promote your content and products to their friends, and they?ll buy based on you recommendations because they have grown to know, like and trust you.

It comes down to relationship marketing. Here are some of the methods I use to keep blog visitors coming back.

?

Turn Visitors Into Subscribers

The most effective way to get people coming back is to offer people a way to get your content even when they are not on your blog. You can do this via RSS feeds and autoresponder messages.

The best place to add a RSS icon is on the top right corner of your blog or in the sidebar. You also want to make it easy for people to opt-in. I use Aweber to create webforms that I then include on my blog always making sure I included a opt-in form in my sidebar. Another great place to turn visitors into subscribers is directly after a blog post. You will also want to include an advert that drives visitors to a capture page or
related blog posts.

Autoresponder Series

Speaking of opt-in messages, it is important to always be thinking of how to get more subscribers. A great place to start is with your irresistible offer which can be a FREE report, audio training, video or email course such as this one. Very few people are going to give up their name and email address for nothing. So encourage them to do so by offering some of your best content for FREE. Not only will this help you build your list, it will let people know how awesome your content is, which will keep them coming back for more.

Post Content Consistently

No one visits a dead blog. Make sure you post frequently and keep your content new and fresh. Post daily and you will see success quickly. If you are short on time, prepare a handful of posts in advance and schedule them to be published on certain dates and times. This is something I do often, because it allows me to knock out my blog posts in one sitting so I can do other things throughout the week all while my readers continue to get updated with new content.

Leverage Social Proof

We all know how important and explosive social proof can be. People want to be go to the hot blog that has the latest, most cutting edge content, not the dead blog that no one visits. When people in your niche want to learn about what?s hot, they tend to scout the social media scene. What marketers are being talked about, what bloggers have an active following, the most subscribers, etc. You want to have a blog that is POPULAR!

So publicize the number of RSS readers you have, your Twitter followers, your Facebook fans and YouTube subscribers. The higher these numbers the better because it will give people the impression that you are worth following!

Reply To All Comments and Emails

If you want to create an active community around your blog, you have to encourage participation ad the best way to do this is to respond to every comment and email you get from your readers. Show them you care and they?ll respond in like. It?s rare for bloggers to respond and may ignore their readers and their comments. It is extremely important to me to that I engage and interact with my readers, respond to their comments and reply to their emails and inquiries. WHY?

It shows I care. It shows I am paying attention. It shows that I appreciate their input. This is one of the reasons why I have such a responsive email list and this is why my blog continues to grow.? My blog visitors know they will always get answers to the solutions they are looking for, they always know they can contact me and if I don?t know the answer I will send them to resource who can help them.

To our success in 2013

PS. Many times you only have one chance to make a good impression. Lead with great content, provide awesome value and over-deliver at all times. Going above and beyond in a competitive marketing space will always out you on top.
